Bisk Education & University Alliance Corporate Milestones
Since 1971, we have consistently expanded our educational offerings as emerging technologies have made our programs more accessible and convenient for students. Below are just a few of our exciting achievements; we expect many more to come!
- 1971 – Bisk founded; offers seminars to prepare students to pass the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination; introduces first audio lecture products and textbooks for CPA exam candidates.
- 1977 – Introduces first CPE audiotape self-study courses.
- 1980 – Introduces first CPA and CPE video self-study courses.
- 1989 – Releases CPA and CPE Review interactive software courses.
- 1994 – Introduces CPA Review course and CPE products on CD-ROM.
- 1995 – Develops CPA Review and CPE website; offers first courses online.
- 1997 – Launches first of its kind, instructor-led online MBA degree program with video lectures on behalf of one of our university partners; four areas of specialization are offered.
- 1998 – Launches first of its kind, instructor-led online undergraduate degree program with video lectures on behalf of one of our university partners; associate’s and bachelor’s degrees are offered in nine major areas of study.
- – American Council on Education (ACE) recommends the Online CPA Review courses for college credit.
- – National Association of State Boards of Accountancy approves Bisk’s 300+ CPE program formats; company is the first multimedia provider in the nation to receive this approval.
- 2000 – Launches six multimedia continuing medical education programs on behalf of one of our university partners.
- 2001 – Jacksonville University: Launches first multimedia online RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
- – Villanova University: Launches first of 54 multimedia online professional education master’s-level and individual program certificates.
- 2003 – Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business: Launches first of 11 multimedia online professional education master’s-level and individual program certificates.
- 2004 – Florida Institute of Technology: Launches multimedia online Master of Science in Systems Management with a concentration in Information Systems (MSSM).
- – The University of Scranton: Launches multimedia online Master of Science in Curriculum & Instruction and Educational Administration degree programs.
- 2005 – University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business: Launches first of 11 multimedia online professional education executive-level and individual program certificates.
- 2007 – Florida Institute of Technology: Increases to 16 multimedia online course offerings with new associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.
- 2008 – Dominican University: Launches multimedia online Master of Arts in Elementary Education, English as a Second Language and Reading degree programs.
- – University of San Francisco’s Masagung Graduate School of Management and the McLaren Undergraduate College of Business: Launches first of 25 multimedia online professional education master’s-level and individual program certificates.
- 2009 – U.S. News University Directory: An innovative venture established by U.S. News & World Report and Bisk Education combines the nation’s most respected college rankings with the proven technology solutions of an industry leader in higher education; offers powerful new ways for working adults and college-bound students to connect with universities.
- 2010 – Florida Institute of Technology: Increases to 31 multimedia online course offerings with new associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.
- – Jacksonville University: Adds a multimedia online Master of Science in Nursing degree to its course offerings.
- – Villanova University: Adds a multimedia online Master of Science in Human Resource Development degree to its professional certificate course offerings.
- 2011 – University of Vermont: First of two multimedia online professional education master’s-level and individual program certificates to be launched.
